Dr Georgia Thomas-Parr is a Lecturer in Film and Screen Studies, SOAS, University of London (UK). Her research is interested in girlhood both as a representation in global media as well as a lived experience. In particular, her work focuses on British maid cafes and feminine-presenting, kawaii-oriented cosplay subcultures in the UK.
