ABOUT
The Cosplayer Survivor Support Network is a grassroots org started in 2016 and led by volunteers Feytaline (she/her), Fractali, CA (she/her), and Trickssi, CA (she/her) in an effort to draw attention to the lack of accountability for harassment, stalking, abuse, and assault in the convention community. Their current project is evaluating conventions’ harassment policies for 6 safety criteria through the Convention Harassment Policy Report Card. Together, they have over 40 years of experience attending, paneling, staffing, and running departments for conventions.
Fractali’s contributions as Communications Director are informed by her degrees in Biology and Psychology, as well as her history of working with survivors of intimate partner abuse and foster children. Feytaline’s contributions as Operations Director are informed by her work with events ranging in size from tens to ten thousands of attendees and in positions from Artist Alley head to convention chair to cosplay manager as well as her free photography meetup group, Western PA Cosplay Shoots. Trickssi’s contributions as Executive Director are informed by five years of studying victim advocacy for her certification through the National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA), as well as almost two decades of teaching social partner dance to all ages, both inside and outside of the anime/gaming convention community. CSSN is thrilled to join RoCCET for this collaboration, which they hope is the first of many in this highly specialized and sincerely necessary field!
